We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will apply your expertise in modeling, statistics, and programming to design and implement cutting-edge machine learning models that address key business challenges, including user targeting, dynamic ad content generation, entity embeddings, and recommendation systems. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and data science teams, you will develop scalable, production-ready solutions, optimize model performance, and ensure integration into real-time systems. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact business outcomes by leveraging AI to personalize experiences and optimize advertising strategies.

About the role: 

• Work on a variety of Machine Learning projects in the Ads recommendation domain: user segmentation and targeting, user embeddings generation, Gen AI driven Ad content generation.
• Leverage the latest Generative AI techniques to dynamically create engaging Ad content and model features.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to understand business priorities, frame machine learning problems, architect machine learning solutions.
• Build and productionize machine learning models including data preparation/processing pipelines, machine learning orchestrations, improvements of services performance and reliability and etc.

• Use the latest generative AI coding tools including ChatGPT and Github Copilot.

• Contribute and maintain the high quality of code base with tests that provide a high level of functional coverage as well as non-functional aspects with load testing, unit testing, integration testing, etc.
• Keep track of emerging tech and trends, research the state-of-art deep learning models, prototype new modeling ideas, and conduct offline and online experiments.
• Mentor other team members, facilitate within/across team workshops and lead the agile development.

Requirements

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience. A PhD degree in Machine Learning or Deep Learning is a plus.
• 3+ years of industry experience in building production-grade machine learning systems with all aspects of model training, tuning, deploying, serving and monitoring. Industry Experience in applied ML in Ads is a plus.
• 2+ years of industry experience in software engineering roles and development experience in Python, Golang, Java, and/or other programming languages.
• Concrete experience working with deep learning frameworks, either TensorFlow or Pytorch.
• Experience working on Generative AI initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices
• Be motivated, self-driven in a fast (we truly mean fast) paced environment with a proven track record demonstrating impact across several teams and/or organizations.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and manage tasks in a timely manner.
• At Rokt we encourage autonomy; teams have complete ownership of their systems including building, running and monitoring. As such, you may be required to be on-call and respond to systems alerts should they arise.
